Before recipes for plastic granules go into series production, they are checked in the research and development department. For this it is necessary to produce the mixtures in small quantities in order to test them for their properties and processability. These compositions are put together in the technical center and manufactured in batches. Due to the very fine raw materials, KRAIBURG TPE focuses on safety, and processing takes place exclusively in designated, potentially explosion-hazardous areas. What was previously only possible with physical exertion is now effortless and quick. Thanks to the quick-change coupling on the lifting trolley, the existing platform with rollers can be replaced with a drum pickup, which enables drums up to 150 kilo to be picked up and emptied. Dosing with the mobile lifting aid
When it comes to moving, decanting or pouring large quantities of substances and materials, the ezzLIFTmaster is ideally suited. When decanting, the heavy containers are often held by hand. This is not an ergonomic working position and is also dangerous because there is always a risk of the container being dropped.
The source container often has to be positioned above the target container with the batch in order to dose the different substances. Holding is difficult and awkward. The ezzLIFTmaster lifting aid supports the operator when picking up, moving and emptying the containers. In addition, the operators can use it to move back and forth between the containers and adjust the height when pouring.
Turning the container to empty the contents is done manually with a crank or electrically at the push of a button. A wide variety of container shapes can be gripped: drums, cartons, buckets, sacks and much more. A wide selection of different grippers allows different containers to be clamped so that everything can be held and emptied safely. With the emptying function of the ezzLIFTmaster to the front or to the side, it can be dosed easily and precisely by pouring. Flowability depends on the substances, which are powdery or liquid. In addition, if the container is clamped, the operator can support the dosing process with a scoop. Holding the container makes it easier for the operator to work ergonomically.
Weighing with the mobile lifting aid for explosion-hazardous areas
If required, the ezzLIFTmaster lifting aid can be equipped with an integrated weighing unit so that the weight can be weighed directly on the lifting aid. There is a load cell on the base frame of the lifter on which a weighing platform sits.
The display is usually located on the column of the mobile lifting aid, but can be placed according to customer requirements. For example, it can also be attached to a flexible arm so that it can be rotated individually. Depending on the version, the scale can weigh a maximum weight of up to 500 kilo. In this way, the mass can be weighed directly during decanting and dosing without having to carry out an additional intermediate step.
Mixing with the mobile lifting aid
For small batches, the ezzLIFTmaster can also be used as a continuous mixer. The advantage is: the substances can be dosed and then mixed directly without changing the device. Here, with the lifting aid, a container can be picked up, lifted, mixed and set down. The positions are then approached by pressing a button. This can also happen while driving. Mixed operation is also carried out by pressing a button. The positions of the pick-up and drop-off points as well as the mixing (duration, reversal of direction, ...) can be preset using a special control.
